Ethel in Leotard - Rubbernecker

Ethel is back and she just cracks me up... she's a sassy ol' gal!  She's got her exercise gear on and is ready to rock!  I don't often use a stamp multiple times but Ethel made the grade... this is the second time I've used it and I will again because she's so perfect for various cards.  In case you are interested, there's also a corresponding die to this stamp.
Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Thinking of You - Elizabeth Craft Designs

Hi All!  Sometimes you need a general card which just reminds someone how important they are and that's the theme of today's card.  I seem to be doing a lot of smooshing lately but I like the technique.  It looks interesting and is easy to do.  This was fairly simple and once it was smooshed I embossed the Circles background with Ranger's Liquid Platinum which my new favourite embossing powder... such a lush colour.  I did the same embossing with the sentiment.
That's it... a quick and easy card!

Rock My World - All Dressed Up Challenge

Hi and I hope all is well with you.
Today marks the beginning of a new challenge at the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog  where the theme is always Anything Goes and the only rule to enter being you use an All Dressed Up image.  If you don't have any, they can be can either be purchased at the All Dressed Up Etsy Shop or by downloading one of several cute freebies offered on the blog.
I needed a birthday card for our grandson and this image seems to suit him so well.  He's one of those kids (he'll be 10) who has swagger... like he's a real happening guy!  hahahhah... not sure he'd appreciate the remark but it's true.  He's one of those people who can wear sneakers with a suit to a wedding and he'll start a new trend.  Anyway, today seems like a good day to get a card done and make it a birthday card for him at the same time.  I kind of like this... he's getting old enough that he is very happy with money as a gift so that saves me the stress of finding something.  The image is Rock My World and I like those hues of blue and green together.
Be sure to head on over to the All Dressed Up Challenge Blog where you can see all kinds of inspiration from the rest of the girls on the team.  Join us for some fun and wonderful creations at the Facebook Fan PageFacebook Challenge (there is a theme for this one) and there's also a Pinterest page to view some more gorgeousness.

Hi Everyone! We have a new challenge at the Elizabeth Craft Designs blog beginning today and the theme this All That Glitters which means each of the DT will be using the glitter on their project.  This is a perfect challenge for me because I love a little glitter and sparkle.  I had to improvise with a couple colours on ROY G BIV rainbow rule but it worked out ok.  There's been some new sets of glitter pots released and I was given the Beach Glitter Palette  and I used some of them on the rainbow and sun.
For today's challenge Elizabeth Craft Designs are giving away a $20 Gift Card to use on our website to 3 winners
To enter simply leave a comment, answering this question 'Which of the new Silk Microfine Glitter Palettes is your favorite, Earth, Beach or Bloom?' on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Facebook Giveaway Blog Post or the Elizabeth Craft Designs Challenge post.  Three lucky winners will be selected in a random drawing.
The winners will be announced on Friday, April 20th on the Elizabeth Craft Designs Blog and our Facebook page.

Hi All!  There's a new release over at Elizabeth Craft Designs and today is showcasing Joset's sets.  I was given this cute little mug set and as soon as I saw it, I thought of a shaker card.  It's the cutest set which includes the parasol, straw, ice cubes, lemons, flower, etc.  Be sure to pop by the store and check out the complete release.
For the card, I smooshed a little Tim Holtz Tumbled Glass Distress ink and then started to build the card which really does make me think of a nice cold drink of lemonade (or something) on a hot summer day.

Fishy Shaker - Rubbernecker Stamps

Welcome and I hope all is well with you.
For today's card, I am using the new Under the Sea clear stamp set from Rubbernecker.  It's a cute set which includes fish, ferns, crabs, etc... everything you need to make a mini masterpiece scene!
I decided to make a shaker card for this one so stamped the fish and ferns and then smooshed the background.  Before smooshing, I thought I'd try a masking technique I'd seen somewhere where they used the sticky note paper where the whole back of the paper is sticky.  It works ok but gets saturated very quickly so I think the masking fluid is a better solution.
I stamped the little starfish on the designer paper and did it again on plain white, coloured, cut them out and glued them down.  A bit of glossy accent on the eyes and it's done!
Thanks for stopping by and have a good week!

Poppies - Rubbernecker Stamps

Hi there!
Today's card is another attempt at the smooshing technique.  I quite like the look of it and it's not hard at all.  After embossing the image and sentiment, I used Tim Holtz's Bundled Sage distress ink for the green smooshing and Spun Sugar ink in for the flower, leaving it concentrated for the darker area.
It's a quick and easy card to do.
Thanks for stopping by!
